With on-track testing of the Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) scheduled to begin in late May, extra working hours are required to complete necessary activities along the light rail corridor. The additional working hours are scheduled for 13 May, 20 May, 27 May, 3 June, 10 June between the hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm.
The key activities that will be undertaken over the next six Sundays includes landscaping, rail welding installing in-ground services and light stop construction.
The equipment to be used includes excavators, hydrovac trucks, a plate compactor, a digger, light vehicles and trucks.
There will be NO use of heavy equipment 7:00am – 8:00am and 5:00pm -6:00pm
Due to the nature of the work, some of the activities will be noisy. The project team will limit these impacts wherever possible by reducing the number of machines operating at the same time and turning off equipment when not in use. Non-tonal reversing beepers will be used and workers will be instructed to keep noise to a minimum.
