Out of hours works are required from Wednesday 29 May to Saturday 1 June, between 8:00pm – 6:00am to install a parking bay on the north end of Manning Clark Crescent, between Anthony Rolfe Avenue and Flemington Road. This work is required at night to avoid impacts to traffic. The work will involve removing the existing kerb and footpath, and installing new kerb, foot path paving and a parking bay.
Traffic Management and Detours:
There will be no road closures in place, however there will be lane reductions and restricted left turns to ensure the safety of workers and road users. Traffic management will be in place and highly visible throughout these works.
The equipment that will be used includes hand tools, generators, light vehicles, trucks, saw cutters, jack hammers, vac trucks, compaction equipment, concrete plant.
Due to the nature of the work, some of the activities will be noisy. The project team will limit noise impacts wherever possible by reducing the number of machines operating at the same time and turning off equipment when not in use. Non-tonal reversing beepers will be used* and workers will be instructed to keep noise to a minimum.
These works are designed to transform Canberra, making it more accessible and to provide greater commuter connectivity across an integrated public transport network. We appreciate the continued patience of the public and the support of the Canberra community as we carry out these works.
