Out of hours notice for storm water inspections on Northbourne Avenue, between Phillip Avenue and Swinden Street, 14 - 28 February

Due to inclement weather, further out-of-hours works are required for inspecting and repairing storm water infrastructure along the Northbourne Avenue and Federal Highway corridor. These works will be undertaken over four nights (8:00pm – 6:00am) between Thursday 14 February and Thursday 28 February.

Traffic Management:

There will be no road closures or detours for these works, however, lanes of traffic will be reduced along this section of the light rail corridor. Traffic management personnel and signage will be highly visible throughout the works.

Additional Information:

The equipment to be used includes: light vehicles, vacuum trucks, generators and light towers.

The project team will ensure the number of machines operating at the same time is limited and equipment turned off when not in use. Non-tonal reversing beepers will be used* and workers will be instructed to keep noise to a minimum.

These works are designed to transform Canberra, making it more accessible and to provide greater commuter connectivity across an integrated public transport network. We appreciate the continued patience of the public and the support of the Canberra community as we carry out these works.
