Works to install rail along Northbourne between Rudd-Bunda Streets and Wakefield-Macarthur Avenues are required from 6:00pm to 10:30pm starting Wednesday 4 July through till Tuesday 31 July.
- No work is scheduled for Friday or Saturday nights during this period.
Main activities during this period include: lifting of rail, rail welding, blasting and grinding.
Traffic Management and Detours:
There will be no disruption to traffic with all work being restricted to the Northbourne Avenue median.
The equipment being used includes: excavator, steel saw, hand tools, lighting towers, light vehicles and trucks.
- No welding and grinding works will be done after 8:30pm.
Due to the nature of the work, some of the activities will be noisy. The project team will limit noise impacts wherever possible by reducing the number of machines operating at the same time and turning off equipment when not in use. Non-tonal reversing beepers will be used* and workers will be instructed to keep noise to a minimum.
Thank you for your patience during these important works.
