Road closures this week - 19 to 26 November

 

 

Mouat-Antill Street, Dickson 10:00pm Friday 23 November - 6:00am Monday 26 November
 

There will be no change for traffic travelling northbound and southbound along Northbourne Avenue at the Mouat and Antill Streets intersection. However, the following traffic conditions will apply for traffic movement across, into and out of Antill and Mouat Streets:

  • No right turn onto Mouat Street and Antill Street from Northbourne Avenue;
  • Closed to all through traffic along Mouat Street and Antill Street; and
  • No right-turn onto Northbourne Ave from Mouat Street and Antill Street.
     

Morphett and Murdoch Street median crossings Tuesday 20 to Thursday 23 November

Both the Morphett and Murdoch Street vehicle crossings will be closed throughout these works. Detours:
 

  • Traffic turning into Morphett Street should perform a U-turn at the Mouat-Antill Street intersection
  • Traffic turning into Murdoch Street should perform a U-turn at the Wakefield-Macarthur intersection.

Cooyong Street, City, Friday 23 to Monday 26 November

  • No access from Cooyong Street to Northbourbe Avenue
  • No access from NOrthbourne Avenue onto Cooyong Street

Flemington Road, between the Federal Highway and Sandford Road, Sunday night to Thursday night (8:00pm - 6:00am) from 11 November to 7 December

  • Flemington Road closed to all traffic between the Federal Highway and Sandford Street
  • Detour via Barton Highway and Gungahlin Drive

The project team will ensure the number of machines operating at the same time is limited and equipment turned off when not in use. Non-tonal reversing beepers will be used* and workers will be instructed to keep noise to a minimum. 

These works are designed to transform Canberra, making it more accessible and to provide greater commuter connectivity across an integrated public transport network. We appreciate the continued patience of the public and the support of the Canberra community as we carry out these works.
