Intersection Closures on Northbourne Avenue - November 2017 to April 2018

As construction of Stage 1 of the Light Rail - Gungahlin to Civic progresses, the closure of intersections along Northbourne Avenue, from Alinga Street to Barton Highway is required.

WHEN: Generally works will occur during the day (7am to 6pm Monday to Saturday). However for key intersections, in order to avoid substantial impacts to public transport and traffic, works will occur over weekend periods, including nightworks or similar. Residents and local businesses will be notified prior to start of any work in their area.

Four key intersections will also be closed for up to 54 hours and on occasion up to 66 hours when installing the rail track concrete slab. The 54 hour period will start from 10:00pm on Friday and end at 4:00am on Monday. The 66 hour period will start from 10:00am Friday and end on 6:00am Monday.
