Be Rail Ready and stay off the tracks

This week, another important milestone will be reached with the completion of the rail installation as part of the Stage 1 Canberra Metro Light Rail project. This is a perfect time to remind motorists that driving or riding road vehicles on the light rail tracks is strictly prohibited. The light rail track, once in operation will be busy area of activity as LRVs pass through every 12-15 mins and even more frequently in peak time.

Motorists are also reminded that Hibberson Street, between Gungahlin Place and Kate Crace Street was permanently closed to road traffic on 10 April 2017 and is now a live and fully operational  rail corridor.

For more information on keeping safe around light rail visit Rail Ready Safety webpage.
